Thinned down my young guppies but messed up and left myself with 3 males and 1 female
she's getting picked on and needs a new family asap

accualy from that pict she looks like she could be a male. infact if im looking at the right guppie it is a male

I agree looks male..... o yeh and you light should not be in the water....will leak and cause damage to you, your fish and possible you fuse box...jst a word of warning....

have studied and studied and def a female, does not have the pointed anal fit like the boys she has a skirt lol

noted about the light, told to keep water 1" above the air tube but that leaves the light in about 1/2" of water

definatly female you can easilly tell by the anal fin id have had it as i have about 15 guppies already but as im in sheffield your too far away to travel for 1 guppy but good luck rehoming.

if were talking about the bluish one with the yellow tail that looks like a male

the silvery coloured one with the yellow tail at the bottom of the filter is the one we are talking about thats a female guppy

it does look like a male though!

no females have rounded anal fins but males anal fins are not shaped

i know but i see a gonopodium there not a rounded anal fin

The guppy near the light looks like a female to me, although there is no obvious anal fin in the pic.

its the one above the otto havin a crap

the one having a poo, trust me its a SHE now has a different body shape to her brothers, no gonopodium and less colour.

I presume no takers though.... loath taking her to our LFS.... i see too many dead guppies and poor things with fin rot there
but i dont want more fry and def not inbred fry as those are her brothers with her!

if you can get up to sheffield i'll take her!

Ok it is possible i have the wrong guppie in that pic... but i def have 3 slender males with gonopodiums and 1 fat female without
her body shape is different to the boys.

I've tried getting a snap of her but my cam aint great at speed shots that close up and the gups are wriely lil beggars!
plus i go near in the morning they presume its grub time!

body shape doesnt specify male or female.
i have huge fat males and small skinny males.
every guppie in that pict is a male. the one by the filter could posibly be a female.

No female I can take a pic of my preggers female with a fin like that and she is def preggers as you can see the fish starting to come out x

huh? only males have that.
are you sure your female doesnt have a internal parisite? that could be the white thing comming out and would explain how its bloated.
