Fish Symptoms hard breathing laying on side not eating and a stringy looking substance moving in and out when he takes a breath

Volume and Frequency of water changes:1/2 tank once a month

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: plain gravel

filter is a fluval 304 and the tank has been established for about 5 years

Tank inhabitants: angel,bala shark (he died 4 days ago he jumped out of the net)

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):

Exposure to chemicals: i put him on myoxy and maracyn thought it was fungal

your ammonia and nitrites are to high,thats why lower them, are u cycled?, your ph is a little low

this set of readings is with the filter unplugged for 48 hours to treat the fish with medication. sorry i didnt mention this above
