I'm going to go later on to my LFS to get some cories. I have a 20g with 4 guppies and 4 rasboras. I was hoping if 3-5 was the best #. Do you have any other ideas of how many i should get?

Yeah 3 at the least I'd say. I have three different types of cories in my tank and they tend to stick to their own. They will probably feel more secure in a larger numbers. thumbs-up.gif

Sorry for all the questions. Would cories clean the sand? i have so much debris on it; and i cant get rid of them with the gravel vacumm without draining over 25% of water... Do you have aim/msn/yim so i can ask mmore questions?

Cories will clear uneaten food as long as it is fresh, but they won't clean up poo or old decaying guck; indeed they are very sensitive to bacterial infections if their substrate is not clean.

Hi Phillip.M smile.gif

Corys need a clean bottom and fresh water. A water change and bottom cleaning that takes out only 25% of the water is by no means excessive. Do this much at least weekly, more often if it's necessary.

Three is the absolute minimum of corys I would recommend, but more of them is better. You will understand the reason for this when you see them at play in your tank. biggrin.gif

What kind of corys are you thinking about getting? unsure.gif

From my experience, Pandas are the most sensitive. I have 2 peppered and 2 bronze corys and they switch partners alot lol. I'm definitely getting more of each specimen. They are very skittish in low numbers.
