Hi all,

This is my first time posting:) Gotta admit these forums are pretty useful.

So here it is: I have a 10 gallon with 1 betta, 3 platies and 1 dwarf cory. I wanted to get the cory 2 buddies, since they need company, but I am now thinking the 10 Gallon may not be enough. Any comments please??

Also, the 2 red wag platies are totally not hanging out with the rainbow platy. Why would they not get along?? They're all about the same size, 1 wag male, 1 wag female & 1 rainbow platy. The red wag female seems pregnant, the rainbow platy doesnt....
What's up with that?

Thanks!

hi there, is the betta male or female? just to eb aware that the males can be very aggressive and there's mixed reviews of how well they do in community tanks. some people seem to be able to make it work but for a lot of people it doesn't work out, so just be aware you should watch out for aggression and be prepared to get him his own small tank or re-home him.

the cory really does need some company, you probably have room for another 2 to go with him, only thing to be aware of is that platys are big waste producers for their size so you need to make sure your filtration is up to scratch if your going to stock heavily.

Thanks guys! Yeah i'm definitely gonna get the cory some buddies smile.gif
The betta is a male, but I've really not had any problems with him. He only initially 'warned' the platies by flaring, but they didnt seem to bother much with him. He even peacefully swims really close by the platies occasionally. Tho he likes to 'playfight' his reflection in the mirror haha

thanks!
