im planning on getting a 9.5 gallon tank and i previously owned a 20 gallon but i was to big for my small room and was a mess. i was looking for a ten gallon but odly they only had 9.5's

8-10 with a good filter and regular water changes.

I agree 5teady. But regularly do the water changes, obviously just maybe 10-25% at a time.
