I feel like I should be in group therapy. Hello, My name is _____and I'm an addict. Does anyone else feel like that when walking into a pet store? I found out very quickly that its wise to leave the checkbook and atm card at home, go in with a set amount of cash in my pocket, otherwise I'm in trouble.

A month ago I had no fish, not a single one, no plans to get one. LOL Somehow I found myself staring at Bettas at my local Wal-mart. Bought a male and some supplies. After reading up on him some I found that he really wouldn't be happy long term in the bowl they recommend. Off to the Pet store I went!!

Somehow in the course of shopping for a very small tank to put on the desk I bought a 10 gallon tank, stand and a couple of bags full of stuff. It was the damn fish, I'm sure of it, they did something when I walked past the banks of tanks. Anyway I got the tank set up, did some more reading since I knew I had to prepare the tank for fish but had no clue how to go about it. Got it all ready and then back to the store a few days later to pick my fish out. Since then it's only gotten worse, I need a bigger tank as a 10-gallon is just not gonna do it for me.

I walked into the bathroom this morning and it hit me, I've become a fish addict. There was a bucket in my shower that I was soaking some fake logs in, and a filter soaking in my sink. Huh I thought, can't brush my teeth yet, don't want to get tootpaste on that filter and its not done soaking. Go out and stare hypnotically at the fish...............
