One of my black skirt tetras has red spots on body near the fin areas, near mouth as well and stays on the top gasping for air. It also has teared fins some cotton white spots near its eyes. Another one has a swollen face region. Please help I don't really know what to treat them for.

oh dear, that sounds awful... where are you located (US or UK)? if you're in the US, then I would get a strong anti-bacterial medicine such as Mardel's Tetracycline Tablets.
what size tank do you have and what are the other inhabitants? |
