My fish has whitespot, so 2 days ago I started using Interpret No 6 medication following the instructions for the recommended dosage, remove carbon filter, etc. But now the tank water is very, very dark - almost black. Is this normal?

Not from the medication it isn't, but it may be being caursed by your decorations...

Do you have any bog wood in your tank?

as rabbut said really the medication wont change the apperance unless you pump loads in. i remember the stuff i used turned the water green but only a misty cloud.

Im guessing your tank has gone brackish because u have put bogwood or mopini decoration wood in there with out cleaning it.

best way to clean it is boil it or soak it in water until the water is clear i always soak mine for at least 2-3 weeks.

Hi, many thanks for the replies. I don't have any wood in the tank, so I think it was just the meds that changed the water colour. The water is returning to normal now, so panic over. The fish also seem to be recovering well from the whitespot. Thanks again for your help.
