Humans Getting Fish Diseases, Bloat? Hole-in-the-head? White spot? Fin rot?

I was just thinking can a human get a fish disease?

Fish Tuberculosis. I've heard that some have died from it.

That is correct.

There are a few other very odd/rare ones. I know there is a fungus or bacteria (can't remember) that you can get (kind of like ring worm.) You get it from dirty water, and they thought that I had it. Turns out it was something else, took months to get rid of, and now I have a huge nasty scar on my leg that won't go away angry.gif (off topic sorry)

I had fin rot once. My tail has never been the same since tongue2.gif

On a serious note, no things like white spot and fin rot are specific to fish.

There are things that you can pick up from water (especially if it is very dirty) and a few thing sthat can be transmitted from fish to humans. In general though as long as you wash your hands really well after they have been in the tank you will be ok.

Thanks for the info everyone. this topic was just mainly to get me educated a little on fish giving humans diseases and somewhat as etertainment.
