well guys yesterday I finally made it to Petco after they had their shipment. apparently a little bit too late as someone took the white HM i've been wanting so badly!
anyways...this is what i came home with:

1. This is Hades, he was labeled as a Half-Moon, but based on my online research the tail (while he was at the LFS) looked like a Super-Delta, so they gave him to me for SD price (half that of a HM!) Now i'm not so sure. His body is around 0.5" long only

2. This is Iris II, to replace my last one who died an eggy-death.
This is VT for sure right?


3. I didnt give much thought to the size difference between this girl, Vera, and my other three. They ripped her fins quickly after she was introduced. Now she's in a breeder tank within the main tank while she heals AND grows a little.
She is a CT right?


4. This is Rose, another VT. She's the boss of the tank. The next one is the bully, and this one is the one that keeps her in check.
She is as big as she looks in the picture!


5. Here is Violet. This one i need help identifying. Unlike Rose and Iris, her tail fin is not perfectly round but as you can see from the following pictures it's got little spikes on it. She also hasnt given up chasing and flaring at Iris, since yesterday afternoon!
Is she a VT or a PK female? or a PK MALE?!



besides those i also have 3 male VT males but those i dont have questions about now

the top boy is a halfmoon, the others are all as you questioned them to be but the final one is a pk crossed with a vt, possible F1 or 2 of this crossing and its female.

nice bettas, Violetl ooks like SD/HM female to me not 100% tho and the top one Hades is almost a HM it seems, hopefully someone who knows more will be more accurate

so you think the fins will grow in as he matures? how old would you say he is? he is the smallest of my 4 males, being almost 1/3 the body length of my biggest one. i would estimate no more than 3 months, but you're the breeder, you tell me
does he look good from your point of view (as an experienced breeder)? this is my first-even HM betta

and regarding the blue girl, so what is her tail type then? VK? I just like naming things, is she more PK than VT?

yes she is more pk than vt, but she has a vt dorsal fin, the tail is more pk and the anal is a 50% mix

tbh the first one is stunning and one i would hold back to breed from so a very nice find and esp good due to being half the price he shouldve been well done. he is also a very desirable colour as well.
