Ok i know ive assked this question before and i know i have been told it isnt nessacary, but would i want to know if it would hurt? i have a 55 gallon tank... with 2 pengiun bio wheel 350's (700 gph filtration) eventually i want to move to a much bigger tank. Now i want to order a marineland canister filter to add to these filters to test its durability for the long run as well as add addition filtration. i want to see if it will last a long time like the well know brands or if it is a craptastic model. They are on sale and i can afford them.... no heres where i wonder... i know with the extra filter that would cause more surface aggitation, but to conteract this ill keep it filled higher... non of the fish i have really venture to the top to often other than feeding time (sometimes) would having all those filters be harmful to the fish i have in my signature? in any way at all? if not i might be ordering it tonight

All I know is that Mystery snails need to be able to get out of the water to get air every once in a while, so you need to leave some space for them. i think the rest will be fine.

really??? i didnt know that. oops... now i feel bad. I thought they only needed to get out for breeding purposes, i mean its not all the way to the top so they have very little space but the do have space, i just rarely see them go up that high thou i do see them climb the glass at night.

usually the go to the top at night to get fresh air then they go back down. They are most active at night so you may be sleeping when they do it.

lol i work third shift and get home around 3-4am but the do normally seem higher on the glass and now that makes sense as to why. i just thought they were cleaning my glass lol

i think next paycheck im going to order one, cant beat clean water. i might set it up see how my fish react to it and if they dont seem to like it ill take it off and store it til i get a bigger tank.

ill be sure to post about it exspecially as i believe that amrinelands are relitively new when it comes to the canisters??? not sure thou.
