ReMz Signature Request – NEW TO BETTA SIGS!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been making signatures for over 4 years. In that time, I stopped taking requests due to time restraints and the draining effect a sig topic can have on an artist. Based on my experience, the only thing I can say is put yourself in my shoes and ALWAYS remember that I am doing this for the community in my own free time.

Quick history: I started graphic design as a signature artist when I was young. I’m self-taught and have learned through online forums. Recently, I have given up a lot of my passion for graphic design. However, my sig-making has evolved into digital painting and website design. My “burned-out” Deviant Art gallery can be viewed upon PM request. I am now completely addicted to fish, and Bettas are an obsession of mine (although I could be worse). Signature requests used to take me 20 minutes to complete, but I try to focus on original and premium signatures now. So, once I take up a request, the refining process can take a couple days. BE PATIENT.

Acceptance rules:
1) I will take THREE (3) requests at a time. PERIOD
2) Failure to acknowledge rule number 1 will almost guarantee you NOT getting a sig
3) I’ll keep an updated list – I reserve the right to close requests when I need a break
4) Sometimes I will place a well-deserved candidate into the 3rd open spot.
5) ********DO NOT REQUEST WHEN MY LIST IS FULL**********

Requirement Rules:
1) Read the above information. Don’t be lazy, cuz although I sometimes can be very lazy, I’m doing you a favor. Hours go into my signatures and you can give me a couple minutes of respect. (NO, I have no big head on me and I am not cocky “=p”…. Some ppl just don’t get. These forums should prove to be much better)
2) I will NOT take PM requests. Post your request here.
3) Although I would LOVE to help out all Betta enthusiasts, a lot of people come and go on this forum. A 20 post minimum is necessary, and if I see random spamming to get a sig you will be ignored. This will also be based on my own qualitative analysis of your posting.

What I need from you:
1) You have the ultimate artistic standpoint on YOUR sig. Always keep that in mind. It does not need to be fish. Go wild with the request, but consider that my take on your idea may be better than what you expected or it may be disappointing.
2) Give me a limited size if you are concerned
3) Pick your colors… 1-3 colors are best, but I may be able to incorporate more if you have a good pallet.
4) PICTURES. I will rarely take a signature request without pictures that you provide me. I used to research for the pictures I wanted, but I’m LAZY. Plus, your request should be personal.

5) Provide me with the EXACT text you want in the sig. I.E. name, subtext, or ambient text. Don’t forget crazy caps or numbers, I mean EXACT so I don’t have to re-design the signature because the text you give me originally is incorporated into the design sometimes.
6) Animation requests. I can do just about any animation you can imagine, but I discourage it. It can detract from the quality of the sig, but subtle animation can add to it. You can say “use your judgement on this one” if you are completely unsure. Most of the time, this will result in a non-animated sig. Animation requests can either encourage me or discourage me depending on your idea. So use rule six sparingly if you are considering asking me to animate.

7) LAST! Give me a style or theme you want to go off of if you have not already. I.E. Futuristic, Funny, Organic, Smooth, Techy, Color-based, 1 primary picture emphasis, etc.

***If you are unsure about any of these rules, that is entirely ok. Just tell me to use my own discretion on that step. I prefer you give me a bulleted or numbered list following these guidelines as closely as possible***

Usually the more info you can give me the better. But info-lacking requests can be fun once in a while.

*I reserve the right to accept or deny any request. Do not be offended if I do not accept your request. Keep an eye on my topic if your request has been denied. A well placed request (following rules) after I have denied your request is a great incentive for me to help you out.*

Hello...
So im really loving you work but im not very good at designing things. They start off good but then go down hill. You say you need me to set it out with what i want on there but im not really sure what looks best.. I have some pics but not sure they are good enough.. Also is this only for betta's? I have one betta but he is a bit plain looking.. Of course i think he is great and it does not matter to me that he is not that special.. He is special to me.. Ha ha.

But what i really want is something to do with my puffers..

So if i was to post my pics for you to see if any are good enough and go from there??

Hey. The sig is for you, not me! Whatever you want. This is in the betta forums (just because this is my hang-out), but i can come up with whatever design you want.

Puffers sound like a SWEEEEEEEEEET sig to make tbh. So does an "average" betta sig (like there is such a thing as an average betta ). Plus a little photoshopping can make a good fish look stunning . Fish-oriented signatures are more what I'm looking for on this forum.

give me any thoughts you might have. dont be formal in any way. throw the ideas at me and give me some pictures. i'll just make something up that hopefully you will like.

higher quality pictures are best, but i can let you know if a lower quality picture will work.

generally ppl just post their pictures directly in my request thread with the request. dont forget colors (in the least).

yup. not necessary. if you want me to just pick something i can, but if you give me some ideas of what you want, the chances that it is personalized to you (beyond your name) is much greater.

If they are not goo enough i can take some more.. I like the font you have in your sig but then im also thinking maybe puffy/Bubbly?? Colours im thinking anything really. like girly colours but not sure if that will go with the puffers.. What do you think?

i've got some ideas for this . no need to elaborate, this seems like a fun one. just let me know if there is anything you REALLLY want in this sig.

if you can get some less-blurry pictures, it would make my life much easier. it would be hard to make a good sig without at least one clear picture, but you are on the right track.

sometimes digital cameras have a close up mode that can really make the difference. if you can't get anything better, i can make it work....... or i can supplement pictures of puffers that are not yours. best scenario is that you can get me a clear picture (or pictures) of the puffers.

Okay will do i will sit by the tank tonite and surprise them when they are not looking.. ha ha they are very camera shy and i only have my phone camera at the mo.. Not the best!! Thanks Remz i will be back tomoz!!

.... i have a camera shy betta...... i get the camera out and he hides under everything looking at me like "not again.... go away!". I know how that can go

Hi ReMz, your signatures look great.
I would like one if possible showing my 2 precious boys which i miss very much.

I can get pictures up later on after looking though my photobucket album (it's huge)
Colourwise possibly Blues, Greens, or whatever you think would go best.

Hi ReMz, Its hard to tell if you are totally booked for the mo. If you are no worries, i will wait my turn but if not then i'd be interested. As devon has said, it's a bit difficult knowing how many people you currently have signed up (as there is only one at the top of the page) and although it seems quite likely that all 3 slots are filled already, it can't hurt to ask at this stage right? if the slots are filled already i will just have to wait and try again later

anyway, for what i would be wanting

colours wise, i love what you have done with pheonixbaby's sig, so i think i'd like a blue based colour scheme, but as you are clearly skilled at this, i would be happy to trust your judgement on the best colour combinations
i would like the text to simply be "Ibbledibble" as i tend to use this as my username on most sites.
i'm not bothered about animation, although if something inspires you and you decide to use it, i'm not going to complain.
if you decide you are happy to do a sig for me, i will send a selection of pictures to you by email, and you can decide which ones you want to use, as i currently have 7 males, and 6 females, plus several fry and a few other fish.
i would love to be able to do this sort of thing, but unfortunately my mum is the artist of the family, (and that in a more traditional way) my skills lie in the kitchen. but i look at other peoples sigs with such admiration.
