I have a tank currently set up with :
6 Koi Angels 8 Snakeskin Barbs 8 Rummy-Nose Tetras 7 Peppered Corys 1 Royal Whiptail Catfish I would like to add some Bosemani Rainbowfish, but never having kept Rainbows before, require some guidance here. Would they get along with the Angels? Many thanks BTT |

Rainbows have similar temperaments to peaceful barbs. But having said that some big males can get pushy and pick on smaller weaker fish. If you have 3 or 4 males of similar size then they argue with each other and leave everyone else alone. If you only have 1 big male he might pick on other fish in the tank. Try to keep them in groups of 6 or more.
Get small rainbows to start with and grow them up in the tank. Then they should be fine with the tetras. Big rainbows will hunt small tetras and I have seen a school of half grown boesemani hunting a school of 3/4 sized cardinal tetras. It doesn't happen often and if the rainbows grow up with the other fish they should be fine. Rainbows need plenty of plant matter in their diet. They will eat flake or pellet or anything else but should not get too much frozen bloodworm or live black or tubifex worms. They should be fine with the angels but watch them with small rummynose. |

yeah should be fine, i personally love praecox rainbows (dwarf neon rainbows) which are a touch smaller so would be better with the smaller tetra's. the males always display to each other nad stuff and it's brilliant to watch.
