Hi,
Do I have room in my Nano Aquarium (see thread) for a small Scooter Blenny (Synchiropus ocellatus) or will this be pushing the limitations of the system too far with 2 clowns and 2 cleaner shrimp already in situ. If its fine to go ahead with this sometime in the future would those members owning such a species furnish me with some details on their husbandry especially seeing that they belong to the Dragonet family and their feeding habits. (personal experiences only)
Regards
BigC

i have no personal experience, but i would say no (from what ive read).

If you could get one that eats prepared foods, i guess you could try it out... I dont need to tell you to research though, knowing you.

Good luck, i wouldnt dare keep one in anything smaller than a 55 gallon, even if it eats prepared food. But there are people who have them in nanos 1 year + because they eat prepared foods....

Yeah the big trouble as you already alluded to is that they are members of the Dragonet family. Thus they don't readily accept frozen foods. Scooters have a better track record for accepting frozen than mandarins do, but are still really picky. If you can find one eating frozen at the store, you can buy what its eating, try bringing it home and cross your fingers.
