So I bought a clump of Micro Sword. Just a rundown I have 2.4wpg. I am adding Flourish, Flourish Trace, Flourish Iron, Flourish Potassium, Flourish Excel, Flourish Substrate Tabs. I also have my plants planted in Black Flourite. Is there anything else I should do to help this plant cover the bottom of my tank?

Just make sure you seperate it out and not plant it in large portions Small clumps (about 5 or 10 stems) about 1cm apart should be good

for L. Brasiliensis high light (around 3WPG or more) high co2 levels (20-30 PPM) and a good dosing routine are vital, it wont handle temps over 26C, best way to get it to grow on is to seperate it out as much as you can and plant the individual plantlets 1-2 cm apart, its a relatively slow grower, and can be slow to establish, it is also very prone to getting algae on the leaves if the conditions arent right, id recommend setting up with no fish beforehand so you can have higher co2 levels, that will help the plants and prevent the algae from growing, you might want to try L. Mauritiana, its a much much less demanding lilaeopsis that will grow in a wider range of temps and conditions, L. brasiliensis, mauritiana and macloviana can all tolerate low salt concentrations.

I think I may have some of this stuff, bought it thinking it was a grass!

I seperated the clumps out and planted it and so far so good.

It is sending out feelers so with a bit of luck it will spread and cover and give me the carpet effect I want.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of it yet. It has sent out a runner already. I wish the runner would go in the other direction though. I still like the plant. I had read that it is fast growing. I have learned that to be wrong. My Java Fern grows faster. Thanks for the help everyone!
