Hi - I've read that the maroon clownfish is 'very aggressive'. That's pretty vague and I want to know what it really means - are they so aggressive that they would try and take down a Pterois antennata (dwarf lionfish)

thanks

the term very aggresive just applies to other clownfish. i keep a maroon w/ a tang and there best buds. good.gif

ive seen countless comunity tank w/ maroons yes.gif

my lfs has one thats at least 5 inches in like a 50 gallon w tangs, chromis, gobies, etc... of course no other clowns.this maroon is so old that its pitch black of course its not for sale. drool.gif wish mine was that big. drool.gif

white stripe maroons are said to be more agresive than the gold stripe ones.

No, they're not overly aggressive towards each other when paired. Should do fine for tankmates with a dwarf lion
