my angelfish started breeding last week or something and they ate all their eggs i read up on this and used the forum to find out about it and apparently thats natural for them to do that. so i want to breed them and i have put them in a tank on their own with two bits of slate leaning on the side of the glass. they just try to hide when the light is on and then when i turn the light off at night the males stripes get darker and starts to bite her im assuming this is them wanting to breed? should i leave the light off to try to get them to breed again and just use the light of the room. i know i have dragged this on but thanks in advance

there shouldnt be a problem with light unless its maybe to bright.

there will be a bit of nipping and then lip locking etc. its normal

they may eat the eggs but just leave them they will do it eventually, mine took the 4th time until they got it right

What size tank have you placed them in? What kind of lighting are you using? Do you have the tank in a high traffic area of the house? The constant movement around the tank will cause them to hide as well.
