Breeding Oscars, what to do?

hello i have an oscar thast 6 inches i think its proubly still 2 small 2 breed but what i was wondering is what does it take 2 breed them. i know u need a really large tank i got 222 gal tank that i can get from my parents house or leave it set up there.


- how can i tell if my oscar is a male or female?

-how big should they be befor u breed?

-how old is a good age?

if anyone could gicve me some infermation it would really help i aint oing 2 breed them yet i just wanna keep it in the back of my mind cuz i wanna try it 1 day.

Oscars aren't livebearers.

And please, try to write in English, not text-speak. I'm sure I'm not the only one who hates having to translate from text-speak into real English.

Defo not livebearers, and sexing them is almost impossible unless you see the female laying the eggs.
breeding size i 6-8 inches up
and the should breed form 18 months on wards if their a good size.

You usually need a group of 4 fish to get one pair and then once u get the pair remove the other's. Or your get problems.

Try asking in the cichlid section.
