They have some of these at my LFS are they a livebearer.

They said they were but i want to double check. Also i know they can be weak, but i am not new to aquariums and have a mature aquarium.

I just found some info that said they were a characin, can anyone clear this up?

Yes they are a tetra and hard to wean off any foods that are not live or at least meaty. They tend to be a loner also and do not school like most tetras but rather hang out near clumps of plants or underwater logs.

They are characins and usually go by the name of black darter tetras or black morpho tetras. Not a livebearer. sad.gif

I know it is, i went back to get a few but they had all gone. I guess i wil have to wait a few weeks. AMAZING looking fish tho
