I have read conflicting statements on this species. One site says it reaches 11 inches, however others say 26. How big does it get and what size tank would a 26 inch species require. I've got a 4 inch one in a 150 for now, will that work? It seems a little small but the article I read that said they get 26 inches also said they needed a tank with my 150's dimensions. 4'X2'X30".

Well my apurensis is now a chunky 15" and appears full grown, they dont move much unless eating/killing something so a 4x2x2 should be big enough, but if by chance they do get bigger then upgrade accordingly. These fish are BEASTS they really and truely don't play nice with others and will at some point destroy anything they are kept with, if it doesn't fit into their mouth they don't care, they'll either take a week to swallow it or simply tear it in half, i still havent found the limit to mines eating capacity. |

I think I'm going to sell it to someone who can properly house it. Until I get out of college, I just don't have room right now for another large tank. Thanks for the information CFC.
