Well, I finally got a new camera today - I got a Kodak EasyShare DX6490 and I'm really happy with it. Ithink these pics are pretty good for never having played with the camera before and for the middle of the day
Both Severums... Edited to add - these pics were all taken with no flash This post has been edited by parker313: Sep 4 2004, 06:09 PM

I learned how to use the macro mode. Cories are nice practice, they sit nice & still! Excuse the algae on the back glass

fufanu, i know what im talking about and in this case it seems as though one of them is trying to attract the other, as you can see only one of them is showing there bars, in your case you had one of them in a 20g tank and it was showing its bars.
So i would say its trying to attract or its under stress from being picked up, but i cant see a case of this and they seem to be getting along. Great shots by the way, the 5th shot looks like he knows he is having his picture taken. This post has been edited by Vip: Sep 5 2004, 04:08 AM |

Thanks for the comments!
...also, I had read somewhere that they show their bars more when they're younger and then they go away when they get older?.... These are about 2" each, so still little. These 2 turn their bars off and on a lot. I can tell the difference in them b/c on one of them, the back 2 bars touch at the top and on the other they don't. I am definitely keeping an eye out for any sort of stress or aggression b/c I know that 2 grown Sevs in a 46 is WAY too much This post has been edited by parker313: Sep 5 2004, 01:27 PM |

Lovely pics - that's a good little camera, we have the same. And yes, we also use macro mode a lot!

I really like the fish combination you have there, any chance of getting a whole aquarium shot?

Sure! I changed from gravel to sand a couple of weeks ago and completely re-aquascaped it as well. The water's a bit cloudy in this picture b/c I had just done a water change and stirred everything up
I'm really happy with how the tank has come together.

Cories - 2 pandas, a 3-line and the albino, by far the hardest worker in the tank!
I even have a one eyed cory! He had been at the lfs several weeks in a row so I figured he was in good enough health. The lfs let me have him for half price and he's been just great!
