My question is... dwarf puffers/figure8 puffers are brackish fish right? so that means i need salt in the water? not as much as a saltwater tank but i need some right?

and my other random question that has nothing to do with puffers, but i didnt wanna flood the boards by making a new post is.... whats wrong with blue gravel? i read that its horrible...

thanks for any help smile.gif

Dwarf puffers arent the same as figure 8. Dwarfs are freshwater and figure 8s are brackish. I think they like it around 1.005 or something like that. There is nothing wrong with blue gravel, it just doesnt look natural, and most people on this forum want to try to make their tank look as natural as possible.

Dwarves are very small...like 0.5 inches. They may be marked up as Pygmy Puffers too and should be aroudn the £4.95 range. Fig 8sbhave an '8' on their backs. They should bwe around 5.95-9.95
