I have always wondered this myself. The best thing you can do is either give it a go
 OR ask the shop who their dealer is and to get them to find out what processing the wood has gone through. I imagine it has been atleast sand blasted, but the possibility of chemicals might be there, I'm not sure.Good luck. |

They'll be no chemicals on it, as that would affect the herps, especially frogs.
I'd say it would be fine. If you wanna give it a go, get the smallest piece there and stick it in a large bowl and see how it goes.
