thers a great looking fire eel at my lfs, can they be whined on to pre prepared food i.e pellets ?? also how fast do they grow??

The chances of getting any spiny eel species onto pellets is pretty low but fire eels are some of the fussiest of the lot and can takes years before they will even take frozen foods let alone dried, if you can't supply it with regular live foods for at least the first 6 months or maybe longer then its best to leave it at the store.
