First a bit about my tank:

25 gallons(25 Imp, 29 US)

2 small angel fish
3 red eye tetras(Although this will be down to 2 in about an hour or so I imagine)
3 neon tetras
1 sunset platy
6 corydora catfish
1 bristlenose plec
1 red rocket something or other, not sure what this fish is called exactly.
1 africian dwarf frog

My feeding ritual is a pinch of flake food once a day(Usually first thing in the morning), and 1 sinking pellet

Now, the Angelfish, the platy, the fish that I don't know the name of, and the neons all seem to be doing fine, but the red eye tetras used to be rather plump looking, and now they are beginning to look very thin, and one is on the brink of death. 3 of the Cory's seem to be fine, but the other 3 are all looking quite thin as well.

I know the general rule of thumb is you drop the food in, and if it's gone in 2 minutes, you're not feeding them too much. Well when I drop the food in, it's usually all gone in well under 2 minutes(Except for the sinking pellet, which usually takes a few minutes due to the fact that all the fish in the aquarium are quite small).

I'm wondering, should I give a try increasing my feeding ritual to twice a day? Or perhaps 2 feedings every 2nd day?

Well I say is when they look fat dont feed em! laugh.gif
Or if there is no nitrite showing feed them a bit more.
Try feeding them a the same amounts but twice a day if nitrite shows up feed them a bit less.

Well for a start your frog needs to have meat as they are carniverious plus they need to be kept in pairs if not more than. As for the rest of the fish, if they are devouring the food in well less than 2 minutes then i personally add more food.

Try varying their diet too, good frozen foods i use are Mysis, Brine shrimp, Bloodworm and Daphinia. All my fish love every bit of it good.gif
But definitly get another frog and feed them meat or te one you have wont last very long.

Just noticed that you have a bn plec and corys they love(well mine do) cumcumber. Just chop a bit off and weigh it down with pant weights or if you dont have them what i do is stick a silver coin in the middle.

I would avoid silver the same as I would avoid copper in my tanks. Silver corrodes easily and will release molecules into your aquarium water. A simple weight for feeding a piece of vegetable that won't corrode is any stainless steel fork in your kitchen drawer. I'm no frog expert by any means but I thought it was the african clawed frogs that were carnivorous. As Drufly suggested, lots of variety in the feeding helps because with all we know about nutrition, we really don't know all we could about what fish or any other animal really needs. A variety of foods will keep your fish from having nutritional deficiencies. Feeding quantity is another matter. If you feed and there is food left after a couple of minutes for anything but a large piece of vegetable, you are feeding too much. If its all gone in 10 seconds, you might want to consider adding some more.

Hi
Try to feed them at different place in the tank. The shy fish will be able to have some food. The angel can be sometimes a bit aggressive. Use some tab for your Corys like JBL Novo Tab (omnivorous tabs). I am not for the frozen food (too many waste and full of phosphate). Try the dry blood worm or live food.
