Hello, as some of you know i recently got over a horrible case of ich. One that cleared up i brought my numbers up to what they are now (signiture) and i have been thinking about adding a few more von rio tetras, or possible even a small school of another kind of tetra. Do you think i have space? Im thinking maybe 6 more von rio tetras, as they stay smaller or 3-4 bleeding heart tetras... anyone have any thoughts?

I would agree as long as you have good filtration you'll be alright. Just being curious, how long did it take to fully clear your tank of ich?

when hit with some Ich, why not just turn up the temperature a few degrees and add garlic doses to the tank?

Because garlic isn't a medicine, and there are only anecdotal reports of it helping to keep a fish from catching ich when they eat it, not when you just squirt it in.

The most effective way to deal with a disease is a good medicine dosed properly, not a passive approach. Of course, prevention is the best medicine in any situation.
