Hey
what are the dimensions of the 150G ?
Also would you prefer one or two larger fish or a group of smaller cichlids etc.?

Either way there would be loads of options including:

Cichlids: Jacks, Oscars, Convicts, Firemouths, Green Terrors, Blue Acaras, Severums, (Rotkeils are very nice IMO)
Oddballs: Birchirs, knife fish,
Catfish: Pimelodus, Pimelodellas, bagrids, Plecs etc,

Once you've decided on one or two fish that you'd like then we can help with stocking around them

agree, really with a tank that suze you've so many options it's hard to tell people what to do, tell us a couple of fish that yuo really want and we can help you work around that and fill the rest of the tank good.gif

You say you had to return the JD due to aggression, does that mean there are other fish in the tank?

Rotkeil sevs are really nice. I have a group of 3, but they are still juvies at only about 2 1/2" and still haven't gotten much of their colors in. Also, they can be a little aggressive at times to my firemouths, but that goes both ways. So sevs of any sort are great, golds are pretty as well.

ok mate yes you could try an oscar with a green terror but just keep an eye on them,,,
In my 150us 5ft/2ft/2ft i have
1 jaguar<moved as getting aggresive with oscars<trying to sell>
2 oscars<beaten BAD By the vieja
1 green terror<killed by the vieja>
1 jack dempsey<beaten bad by the vieja<now lives with my sister>
1 severum<killed by vieja>
1 vieja<sold>

dither fish
2 silver sharks<very active
1 birchir<very comical snake like fish
1 hoplo catfish<preastoric looking great addition
1 common plec<love plecs
1 gibbicep<huge>

cichlids left are just the two oscars and its all calm now, so this is my cichlid exsperience, i would say to you try not to go for lots of different cichlids good.gif

I'd personally go for either an Oscar Or a Green Terror, IMO GT's can get far too aggressive compared to Oscars

If it was me i'd go with an Oscar and a Blue Acara, along with a Rotkeil Severum (i'm kinda fascinated by these atm)
and then depending on your preference you could go down the route of keeping an american theme with Silver dollars, plecos and catfish, or go with something like Oddballs such as Birchirs and maybe a knifefish, or even a group of tinfoils and/or Silver Sharks and/or Clown Loach or other botia species,

From your stocking i would go with one of the following options although neither are 100% guaranteed to work out, cause with Cichlids there are no guarantees,

A
Oscar
JD.
Blood Parrot
Male Convict
Common Pleco

B
Oscar
Severum
3 Bala Sharks
Common Plec
Fire Eel
