Green Terror - Silver Or Golden Saum?

ok i bought a GT today but hes only 1" at the moment.

I can see the edge of his tail is a slightly different colour but is it too early to tell if its a gold or a silver saum???

the shop didnt know!

What colour is the edge of the tail? Might sound obvious but a gold saum will have a yellow/orange edge and a silver saum will have a silver/white edge.

EDIT: Might also be worth mentioning, that if the shop didn't know if it was a silver or gold saum, it could be a blue acara, they are quite easily confused at a young age.

very true! a lot of lfs will play off acaras as g.t.'s. try to get a pic! im sure either me, shroob, or another member can i.d. it for you!!

its definately a green terror as i already own a blue acara plus the tank next to the green terrors in the shop were blue acaras.


the tip of the tail is a very faint cream at the minute, but hes only like 1" so its hard to tell

should it be orange already if it is a golden saum? or do they colour up when they get a bit bigger?
