I currently have a 125 litre tank, with a Bolivian Ram (I'm not sure at this stage whether its a male or female). The other stocking includes 7 neon rainbows and 8 barbs (5 tigers, 2 golden and 1 ruby). I plan on replacing all the barbs with approx 10 glowlights in the next few weeks.

I'd also like to add some more cichlids and after doing some reading thought keyholes might be suitable. If I got a pair of them would they get along with my bolivan ram? The tank is moderate-heavily planted with a large piece of driftwood for hiding spaces. Would it also be worthwhile getting another Ram, or would 4 cichlids in a 125 litre tank with the other fish be too much?

I'd apprectiate any advice people can give.

This is pretty much what i have in one of my tanks(at the moment). I started out with 2 rams and a keyhole. They get along pretty well. A bit of nipping but nothing even approaching serious. Then i added 2 Apistos. And still no real aggression. They're all growing out nicely and very healthy, good colors.

I don't see why you couldn't add another Ram. Just keep an eye on the them. Cichlids have personality and you never know if you're gonna have a mean one or not. However, Rams and Keyholes are generally very placid so i think it would be alright

So very true! Even the so-called "peaceful" species. My Keyhole began to pester my Bolivian Ram so the Ram wasn't getting any food, so I moved the Keyhole in with my Festivum, which is twice the Keyhole's size. The Keyhole seriously ripped up the Festivum in 5 minutes.
