I would get a good bacterial med. Maybe Maracyrn or something like that. Dont get Melafix or Pimafix as they arent strong enough.

Mope, this is external. I would guess that by looking at the pic's again. THis more looks like a fungus. As it's cottony. Sorry about mis-diagnosing this. I would get some Quick Cure, it works great. I use it all the time when my fish get sick.

Yoru welcome. You can probably ge tit off aquabid, or a site simliar to that. You might be better off with something like Antifungus if you cant find Quick Cure. Just look for a med that says anything about anit fungus in its name. I jusre ad that bettas dont usually get fungus, so you might want to search on google for columnaris an dsee what come's up, as that might also be the problem. Sorry about not really making sense, i just dont feel to grea today, adn i am confusing myself!

I would try it and see what happens. Do you run salt in your tank?

Oh gosh.. so sorry your bettas have died!
It looks like columnaris to me. I would get some maracyn 1 & 2 if any other bettas are showing it. Not sure what the UK equivalent for the meds would be? Is the betta in that vid the one you just spawned? |

Don't know if this will help but my tank had columnaris and I lost my betta to it as well. It looked the same as your vid. 2 of my mollies and 1 of my white skirt tetras also caught it but i treated with Marycin1 & 2 and they recovered. The betta went very very fast. I too am unsure of the Uk equivalent ..Hope you figure it out!

Maracyn is Erythromycin, Maracyn is Minocycline, which is pretty similar to tetracycline. In the UK you would have to get a prescription through a vet.
The human form is the same as for fish as far as I know, you just have to get the dosing right. |

Do the plecs have columnaris.
Columnaris lives in the background in your tanks, it only takes bad water quality, stress, temp being unstable and over crowding. Keep doing water changes and adding the correct amount of med back to the water removed. |
