I think that on TFF the fish index/profile forums are one of the most helpful and under-rated forums, which I dont think, get as used as often as they could be. I think that if even more fish profiles are added then the forum as a whole would be much more useful to even more people. So I am proposing that over the next month (september) that as many people add a profile of a fish which isnt allready on there as possible. I for one havent done one on one of the rarer fish on the forums, and I know of plenty of people in the oddball forum who have fish (CFC, Cane, Mark, Paul_MTS, T1K, KOD, Oohfeeshy etc) which arent posted up on the fish index area. Also, cichlids, some livebearer species, and tetras havnt even been touched on, even though I am sure someone on this forum owns, or has owned these fish. Another point is that some entrys are now far outdated, or have little info which is specific. A post on "Teacup Stingray"s comes to mind, which is a good post, however it is now a very generalised name now that rays have become more popular, and it is a general name nowadays...
So anyone else in for making atleast one profile before the months out? Mike |

Thanks guys, atleast theres some support
For pbass: if you could give a general info entry, and then elaborate on the range of sizes of differant locales then that would be good. Mike |

It will mainly people who have more un-usual bits and bobs, as most of the "bread and butter" species have allready been added. If there is info that needs updating though then that would be even better (in a way) as then the info is all correct.

i don't think there's one on any of the fish in my 20g...
chameleon fish (Badis badis) gertrude's rainbow peacock gudgeon/goby nannacara taenia And I used to have some scarlet badis (Dario dario) but i haven't had them very long, i'm not sure if i'd be comfortable writing anything about them at the moment... I do have a question though, anyone know the deal with Rainbows in the oddball section of the index? They belong to the cyprinid/characin/atherinid forum, but are in the oddball index. it's a bit confusing. This post has been edited by starrynightxxi: Sep 7 2007, 07:32 AM |
