I saw a picture of a zebra plec today and absolutely fell in love with them!
 until i found out how much they cost  i was told there a couple of lookalike plecs for around the £10 - £30 mark each . can you give me any ideas on what i should look for , and the cost of them  oh and would need to be no larger than about 5 -6 inches  thankyou in advance , Lou xx |

There are plenty of other plecs that are just as attractive though  Have a look at the pinned thread about plecos upder 8" and then look up pictures on google or planet catfish. I'd have a look for L134 - Leopard frog plec - they have great yellow and black colouration

There's a few around, go onto Planet Catfish and look at the L number pictures.

Flash plecs are nice too
Their L no is L204, cost about £20.   Trimar do a good selection of plecs, and next day delivery http://www.tropicalfish.org.uk/tropical_stock_list.htm If you do use them though give them a ring, and check sizes of the actual fish they have in, as some of the ones we've ordered from there have been very small youngsters
