Hello,

Last night I found a baby, I put it into a breeding tank. I have two females, one is very big so I put her in the breeding tank. However she has not had any more babies, will she? how long can it take?

She might not have any more-or then again she might. Maybe the other babies didnt survive-are they in a community tank?

Got any pic's? If she is new at birthing, she wont have amny, but the older she gets the more babies she makes. She will most likely have more if she is still big.

yes she is young and I suspect this is her first baby. She is still VERY big, the baby she had looks pretty big. I spend time daily looking at the tank, so I don't think the baby i found was very old, maybe a couple of hours, it was hiding in a plant when i found it.

should I leave her in the floating breeding tank for a few days?

I would, as it can take a while for them to finsih birthing, especially a new mother.

Wahoo.. I'm a Black Molly God Father!!!

Just one so far. Found it in a tank all by itself. I took the adults out of the tank a couple of days ago and found a small black speck swimming around. Is there anything I should do to help it survive? All I have is fish flakes for food. What will it eat?

Finely craushed flakes is fine, but brine shrimp even better. Congratulations.
