Over the last 2 days, my male emperor cardinal has spat out about 20 fry.
He is now safe and back in the main tank and boy did he eat alot when put back in.
Like I said, I have about 20 fry, they are really hard to count though, little buggers rolleyes.gif
They are currently being fed on baby brine shrimp 4-5 times a day.
Just thought you guys would like to know about it smile.gif
Has anyone else on here bred emperor cardinals, if so could you tell me about your success, how many survived, what you fed ect.

Just thought you guys would like to know about my success! w00t.gif

quite the opposite, these are one of the easiest (and arguably THE easiest) to breed AND raise.

Well the male finally spit his second batch of fry succesfully on thursday.

He spat out an amazing 31 fry, 11 more than the first batch of 20.

2 of the fry from the first batch have died but i wasnt expecting them all to live.

They are growing really fast and the new babies are eating well.

I will post some pics of the older ones in my journal tomorrow and maybe some of the new fry if i can get a half decent pic of them.
