Nothobranchius rachovi.........Definately not.
Cant see how petsmart got hold of these beautiful African annuals, must have got them off a private local breeder. I have bred them (Beira 98 strain) lots of times, not really suited to a community tank, they will not live very long. Give them their own tank 12"x8"x8" with no substrate temperature around 75'f and a slow trickle from a foam filter. They need livefood and will not survive long on frozen or dry. I will be suprised if they even will take flake. If you need to know more on how to breed these then PM me. But to be honest they are not a fish for the novice. Regards BigC P.S. I'd love to hear a Petsmart staff advice to a potential customer on this species. (Its a fish.....with fins......) LOL This post has been edited by BigC: Dec 30 2007, 10:41 AM |
