rainbow crab setup help please |

someone has dumped a rainbow crab on me and i dont know best way to care for him have put him in a tank with lots of rocks and gravel at base have also put in heater and filter have made sure some of the rock is out of water as i understand they need to get out of water every so often i have bought some frozen cockles and lance fish ?how much do i feed him ?what temp and is he okay on him own he is about 2in across at mo i know he will get bigger tank is 2ft long by 1ft wide?is this big enough perhaps i was silly to take him but they were going to dump him in the sea and he would die so took him off them (caught them on beach dumping him wicked or what) please help dont want to hurt him he sooooo cute
