I have a betta in a split 10g and I wanted to know if there was any fish/invertabrate that I could get to help clean up that he wouldn't attack. I know that corys are a good choice, but this tank is too small for them to be kept in. I was thinking, possibly about ghost shrimp, if the betta wouldn't attack it.
*I need something that can be in a 5g with a male betta to clean up all uneaten food. |

ghost shrimp or cherry shripm that are too big to eat? apple snails ,, though i never had one i hear they poop alot and are heavy on the bio load,, i had mystrey snaills,,,, my bettas were nasty and ate their antennas off, then killed them,,,,,, it all depends on the personality of that particular fish,,, some like tank mates and others kill everything in sight

I had an apple snail once and my god could that thing poo. I ended up having to do gravel vacs twice weekly even when I moved it to its own 3 gal tank
I wouldn't worry about too much uneaten food, your regular water changes should take care of that if you've got a gravel vac. |
