Can Anyone Id My New Kribs?, saw them and had to have them :P

Hi, i bought these kribs the other day, i had to because i had a practically empty 20gallon tank and they were a breeding pair, and very very pretty tongue2.gif £15 for the pair though crazy.gif

They are not normal kribs take a look....







What do you think?, anyone know what type they are?

They look like a normal pair to me, just with nicer colors. A color morph perhaps?

the normal krib (Pelvicachromis pulcher) has a different, tail shape
normal kribensis:

Pelvicachromis taeniatus:


there are many colour morphs of P. taeniatus i think 3 of them to be exact although not 100% sure

thanks for that, rare? i never thought that, maidenhead aquatics near me always have a breeding pair up for sale yes.gif

o and one more thing...... are these type of kribensis harder to breed or same as the common kribs?

Wait those arent a dehane! Sorry, about the mis-adenitifcation!!!!!! It look's like a Pelvachromis "Kienke" red: http://milan.ullman.com/kienke.jpg
There are so many types out there, i get confuesd. Here is a dehane: http://www.aquariumhobbyist.com/wacichlids...es/dehanesm.jpg
Dehanes are probably the hardist to find krib out there. But Kienke's are just as hard. They are easy to breed, just like regualr krib's.
