hi ya'll i was wondering if i can keep a convict cichlid in a 55 gallon tank?
and are they conbatible with corycats,pictus cat,rainbow shark,mollies and platys? oh and tiger barbs? |

You can put convicts in a 55, yes. However, I'm not sure that I would put them in with any other fish. Convicts are very aggressive, even to the point of backing down/beating up Oscars. Generally, they are regarded for their ability to beat up on fish 3 times their size. I would think that the littler fish would be punching bags, and the bigger ones...well, yeah.

Hiya
we used to have convicts, they are lovely! We had ours in with oscars and had no problems but i wouldnt be sure about trying them with anythng else...they are very aggressive. Ours also bred like crazy!! Good luck!! Ann |

ive seen cories and convicts survive together but the cat and the other fish could have some problems.
