I was wondering why green neon tetras arent more popular than neons/cardinals as their stripe is so much better and vibrant. Surely there must be some drawbacks???? thz

drawbacks are
stay relatively small and they are no where near as hardy as a neon and they are not hardy at all.

I did a profile for them a while back, check it out

Green neon's - Paracheirondon simulans
are generally wild caught therefore most of the time being a seasonal fish. Ive been trying to import them at where i work and they are still not being fished shouldn't be too soon now tho. They are not as hardy as normal neon species but shouldn't be hard to keep in a matured softwater aquarium, ive found tanning the water helps allot with stress on them, and as silly as it sounds can colour them up better.

Great fish !!!!!!!!!

Cheers for that mate,

i usually sell them for around £2.00 each bit more expensive than normal neons but well worth it.
