Hi guys,
I think I know the answer to this, but its hard to just do it.

I have a Flame Tetra, who when I bought him did have trouble swimming.
He has a slightly bent spine and as such swims at a 35-45 degree angle, sinking then swimming up to get around.
I noticed yesterday morning that his spine and tail have developed a severe redness which I can only assume is internal bleeding.
He is still swimming around, but I feel I should take him out and "DO THE RIGHT THING".

What do you all think?

Doesn't sound good really. If it is bad, and getting worse, then the right thing beckons.

Well here's a thing - it seems to be settling now and the redness is slowly disappearing!!

Obviously I'm going to check again as soon as I get back home from work in an hour, so fingers crossed for the little trooper!! good.gif

It's always hard to euthanize any pet, but it's part of the job we signed on for when we got them. Hope he makes it. huh.gif
