Im getting tank number 6 this weekend
Everything Ive read suggests they are peaceful but I just thought Id check BTW I know all tetra should be in groups of 5 or 6 minimum and I will get a couple more if I can ever find some |

They are lovely and in my experience quite hardy. Lovely community fish and I've never ever seen them had a go at any fish I've kept them with (see profile info for some, but not all). They don't seem to like big fish zooming around though and will try to hide from them or stay out of their way.

Thanks.
Ive never seen them show any aggression whatsoever myself but just wanted to doublecheck Will plant heavily and provide hiding places as they are the shyest fish Ive had . Saw wild ones for sale recently but didnt really want to chance them--probably being silly. They were a lot paler than the ones I have but probably Id be pale too if Id journeyed thousands of miles |

Yea they won't bother anything, but do be cautious of things that may bother them especially since you say they are shy! look out for barbs and other semi-aggressive community fish of the like.

>>> look out for barbs and other semi-aggressive community
Most barbs are perfectly peaceful. True, Tiger Barbs are aggressive little sods, and a few other species are a bit nippy as well, but the hundreds of other species are not. I admit to bias since I am a "barb man" but I tire of the falsehoods written about this inoffensive group of fish. Many of the "community" tetras are far more aggressive, and being front toothed, do a lot more damage. |
