Hi all
got my Juwel Rio 180 (tank & stand deal) yesterday today I've set up the Juwel filter system that came with it (Compact H) and have attached the Juwel heater that came as part of the deal. the electrical cable that comes out of the motor unit will be well and truly below water when the tank is filled. the electrical cable that comes out of the heater also looks as though it wouldn't be far away from water (if I fill tank to max) might even be slightly under. I'm 99% sure everything is set up right, having followed the instructions carefully and having studied the pictures, everything looks as it should and I'm normally pretty good at these sort of things. I know it's probably a stupid question, but please put my mind at rest and tell me whether this is right or not CC |

I have more or less the same tank - a Juwel Vision 180. The powerhead will be underwater entirely and that's how it should be.
If you hook the heater on to the top bracket (on the inside of the filter compartment) you'll find that only the very top part (with the adjustment) slightly sticks out - however the glass part is fully submerged. That's the way it should be anyway, if you put them in correctly and fill the water to the red indicator strip. |

Enjoy your new tank - I have a Rio 180 as my community planted tank.
