Nothing better to do and the forums seem to be dead right now
 Figured I would post up a before and after of my gf's betta that got a small case of finrot (we think). Ayaya. Is it normal for crowntails to get crazy regrowth like this . At least it gives him some character. Fins are still growing tho. before (some fin regrowth at this point):  after :

Yeah, that's pretty typical in my experience. It's very difficult to get that same quality in CT tails after their fins have been damaged. He's a great looking lil betta nonetheless!

It's been a couple weeks since the "after" pics. So it's not really evident that rays are growing FORWARD. I just have a bit of a biased view of him cuz i've seen him recently and in person. It's much worse than the pics look. But he is a good looking guy.
Has changed colors substantially tho. used to have a white head. Little bugger flares only at me when i approach the tank and try to feed him. He is the feistiest betta towards other humans that i've witnessed. If only he knew how goofy he looks
