Trying to think of the most cost effective because lower costs means more profit for any betta babies sold turning into more nice bettas for me.
I was thinking of switching from betta spa to using a blackwater extract for in my spawning tanks, the water in my area is fairly hard and bubblenests do not stay very well unless I use a good amount of the betta spa, and the spa is costly to buy local or have shipped. I was thinking that boiling the leaves and making a black water extract would be more economical because I could then store the extract and use when needed, and also I could experiment with exact amounts of black water extract needed to get my ph in a good range right away verses just chucking a leaf in and waiting. What do you guys think about this? |
