Sadly we lost our little copper girl Misty yesterday to the dreaded Dropsy. She went so quickly with hardly any warning at all. She was a sweet little girl and we still have 25 of her babies, so I will be picking a special little girl out for myself. wub.gif wub.gif

rip.gif little girl.

QUOTE (cichlids62 @ May 19 2008, 10:02 PM) *
Hi what is Dropsy?

It's a symptom of disease which causes them to bloat up and the scales stick out (like pine cones). In most cases it is fatal sad.gif

Thanks guys...just hope now that my other copper girl Storm pulls through sad.gif sad.gif

really sorry to hear that Netty.... never a fun time when you have bad luck with your fish sad.gif

I'm surprised that happened so fast. I had a fish that had dropsy for about a week (that i treated desperately) and he had a long death. sad.gif At least this wasn't a long painful process for Misty.

My condolences
