Hi
We were told that Indian almond leaf, IAL, is fine for bettas. Let it float on the top and it will eventually sink. Leave it in for about 3 weeks after that replace it cus it might start going mouldy.

Reminds me of my Mason. He jumps clear out of the tank for his food, and then flares at me when he misses, like it's my fault, lol. hehe.gif

I've read that with 20 IAL leaves you can make 2 litres of betta spa!! I have a mahoosive bag of leaves so i'm gonna give it a try.. Apparently you boil the leaves in a gall of water, leave to stand overnight, boil again and reduce down to 1 litre. Remove the leaves, add to another gall of water and do the same process again... Got to be worth a try???

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind that last step of adding a gallon of water and boiling down to 2 liters. Why not just add a liter of water and be done with it? blink.gif
