Hi
We were told that Indian almond leaf, IAL, is fine for bettas. Let it float on the top and it will eventually sink. Leave it in for about 3 weeks after that replace it cus it might start going mouldy. |

That's great, lol.
Reminds me of my Mason. He jumps clear out of the tank for his food, and then flares at me when he misses, like it's my fault, lol. |

I've read that with 20 IAL leaves you can make 2 litres of betta spa!! I have a mahoosive bag of leaves so i'm gonna give it a try.. Apparently you boil the leaves in a gall of water, leave to stand overnight, boil again and reduce down to 1 litre. Remove the leaves, add to another gall of water and do the same process again... Got to be worth a try???

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind that last step of adding a gallon of water and boiling down to 2 liters. Why not just add a liter of water and be done with it?
