Well, I've heard 4-5, but I've also heard 5-6.

I think the most oyu can have is 6...

I have four but am planning on adding a fifth when I receive her from Synnirr and if she is big enough to go with the other girls. Most people say no less than four, no more than six.

I think you should keep more than 3 at a time though, never 2. You want the agression to be evened out..

I would recommend at least four, although Ethos is correct, the minimum is 3. The reason I like four is in case on gets sick and needs to be isolated or is taken out for breeding, than you still have three.

I currently have 6, and the aggression is pretty much non-existant now.... if you keep up on water changes and siphoning, I'd say you could keep at least 8 in a 10 gallon...... I actually have 7 girls, but one is so mean I can't keep her with the others...... I don't think my sorority would work with any less than the 6 I have, but depending on the females I'm sure 4 would work out just fine.
