Bloodfin tetras are quite hardy although they do thrive best in the cooler tropical temps thumbs-up.gif .

What exactly killed your previous tetras though do you know? There's always a reason for why fish die.

Neons and Cardinals are quite sensitive to poor water conditions, it is for that reason you often see advice that says they should not be added until a tank has been cycled and running stably with other fish for 3-6 months.

Black Neons and Glowlights are much tougher fish and can tolerate a bit of cack-handedness. As TP says, it really depends why your others died.

Black Neons.

VERY VERY VERY hardy.

Survived a cycle and whitespot as big black phantoms.

(I did catch whitespot at an early stage, I also followed all instructions to bring it off the fish and substrate and into the water.

I have four bloodfins. I got them before the tank was properly cycled and they survived. They also survived two outbreaks of cotton mouth. They are like a small pack of sharks, cruising my plants looking for frye snacks.
